Intent is not a thought, or an object, or a wish. Intent is what can make a man succeed when his thoughts tell him that he is defeated. It operates in spite of the warriors indulgence. Intent is what makes him invulnerable. Intent is what sends a shaman through a wall, through space, to infinity. ~Carlos Castaneda

America ~ Moon Song (Studio - not Live)
Просмотров 130 тыс.13 лет назад
BEST VIEWED IN HD! The moon begins to rise upon my fallen eyes I'm taken back to firelight A drunken dreamer's plan to stay just as I am Amidst the dancing paradise A case of beer, a smile, a motorcycle child I feel the glow surround me And you, and you, and you, and you, and you Orange funnels and snowy tunnels Summer troubles and books in bundles Orange funnels and snowy tunnels And you, and ...
Jefferson Airplane - Pretty As You Feel
Просмотров 352 тыс.13 лет назад
Bark, released in 1971, is one of the late-period albums by Jefferson Airplane, notable for many "firsts" with its major personnel change. It was the first without band founder Marty Balin and the first with violinist Papa John Creach. Drummer Spencer Dryden had also departed, being replaced by Joey Covington. This was the first all new Airplane LP in two years, the previous being Volunteers, r...

Doobie Brothers - Daughters Of The Sea ~~ Flying Cloud
Просмотров 233 тыс.15 лет назад
Dedicated to my daughter and all Daughters Of The Sea. Another Doobies song I love - Daughters of the Sea (written by Patrick Simmons) and Flying Cloud (written by Tirone Porter) from What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits (1974). I chose some dreamy images from artist Kagaya as well as others. Towards the end, I used a pic of my daughter at age 4 standing in front of the Mediterranean in Cyprus 1...
Doobie Brothers Toulouse Street

I love this Doobie Brothers song although I was hard pressed to interpret the lyrics into video almost resulting in no video. Instead, I chose to use the Storyville era of New Orleans which flourished for 20 years between 1898 and 1917. Patrick Simmons is undoubtedly my favorite song writer for the Doobies. His compositions were essentially deep album cuts or B-Sides to Johnston's (and later, M...
Fever Tree - San Francisco Girls

This band lived about a block away from me before they made it big. My sis used to watch them practice in their garage. They used to frequent the neighborhood swimming pool and allowed us to play chicken on their backs. I was all of 10 years old. Numerous times they referred to themselves as the band Fever Tree but I did not put it all together until after San Francisco Girls was released. The ...

A BIG Thank You to UMG for allowing this video to stay up Worldwide. Maybe WMG should learn something from UMG. I've been a fan of this Musical God since the early 70s. Shawn has a 4 octave voice. www.shawnphillips.com Songs: This has got to be the longest named song on record - bet that blew the record labels mind. 1. She Was Waiting For Her Mother At the Station in Torino and You Know I Love ...

Life growing up in the 60's and 70's. Getting up in the 🌄 morning surfing 🏄♂️ Trestles. Getting that wild hair up our asses and deciding after coming out of the water, on the spur of the moment to just take a road trip to San Fransico and bail up the coast to the most beautiful city in California if not the country. Best trips are always on a whim. Surfing the California coast, getting to Frisco and enjoy the rest of our TRIP. The drive was worth the flight. 😆 yea......
One of the great albums.
I had this album and played it A LOT!!!
My brother had this album when I was growing up. Never saw it in anyone else's collection or heard ppl talk about him outside of when I saw him at Cactus Cafe in Austin in the 2000's. His 1st two albums are both worth checking out, but "Second Contribution" in particular stands out.
I saw him when he performed the last show ever in the capitol theater in Cornwall Ontario 1979 . Amazing
I have the album and still listen to it
I am a big fan of Shawn Phillips. I also listened to Cat Stevens. Great musical memories.
Merci mojo pour ff retour souvenirs pour nos mémoires❤
Great tune, memories, come floating back, have not heard this in many decades. I believe it was 1967 or 68 where I played this over and over and over!!!
One iconic Album which is on the shelves! Actually played this as we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge many years back.Rog.Pacific Sunset Records (LA).
Sounds just as good 56 years later.
I knew Dennis and John from Jones before they moved to Spring Branch.
Rest in Peace, Mike Pinder ❤
i follow yoga/meditation and the tunes of the moodies.... sounds are so important and the moodies did a perfect tune on this one... bob
The guitar sustain is hard to do even today great song kc Pa
That fuckin guitar ending in this classic is absolutely awesome . Trance inducing
He sounds like David Cassidy
This song could have, should have been an equal to "Sunshine of your Love" or "Too much to Dream" but I think it was the lyrics that held it back. Instead of a groovy trip and tribute to the San Francisco Girls, it's just a selfish in your face breakup song. Not right after the Summer of Love.
Yeah, they were the real deal. Top shelf 60s psych🎸
Beautiful!
this is 2024and I can't believe this is the first time I remember hearing this song and I've been listening to them since they came out wow
One of my favourite songs
my sister had the record in 68?...played the grooves off on my "hi-fi"...know every note
A MUST . To Anyone Walking - On . HIGH - HEELS . . . .
This song has always resonated; pulled something from deep down within that just does it to me, such an emotional trip~ a kind of profoundly, bittersweetly intense..at once joyous & melancholic... euphoria
Such a beautiful song. The album was very disappointing for me. I mean after The Captain And Me and they come out with this revival music?? A bit much for me to take at 19, but Daughter Of The Sea and this Jewel saves it, although I suspect it was a B side of one of the two hits from this album. Another Park was a much better song to me but…
My very best summer of all time 1968 the never has been before and never will be an era like this one I was lucky enough to be there and oh how I miss it but thanks for the ride
carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of my. mind..as Cream said it so well some time back
This is a great video to accompany such a sensual song
Dennis, E.E. Wolfe, Rob, John, Michael! Your music will live forever! Let it be reflected in the eyes and flow through the veins of those few who know about FEVER TREE. Your music will be eternal not only in this world!
Most beautiful song
Nirvana and Kurt’s voice would’ve been awesome covering this!
Yes the 60s were a wonderful decade of music 🎉
Soooo GOOD. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nowadays Clancy cant even sing
I am 49 and just discovered this song. I like finding new bands to listen to from the 60's and 70's.
I remember when this song first came out.God am I getting old.
A moment frozen in time...
We covered this song in our rock band back in high school... one of my favorites.
Texas bands did psych rock the best.
Whenever I listen to this song, I feel like I'm actually "back" to that incredible year in San Francisco and listening to it for the first time. Truly a Classic of it's genre. I've listened to it a hundred times in 56 years and it still sends shivers through my mind and body.
Never been to San Francisco until 1996 but in my native Arizona, California music was quite popular. This got some airplay, mostly after 7PM. I was only 14 and drove my parents (mom especially) nuts listening to this, Steppenwolf, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, etc (Dad later became more accepting of it) Yes I too feel it's 1968 when listening to this.
I wonder why Lenny Kaye left this off the Nuggets compilation?
He didn't have enough room. But he started it.
This song has a hint of terrible Ted Nugent in it, or his influence. I’ll need to google up fever tree to see if he was in that band🥁
✌🏼great music. Greetings to the Dibbey Sisters
🤙Awesome tune! Cool vid
Just saw the Doobies in concert. I’d never heard this tune b4. Love it Great concert by the way.
Great song
What a far out, fevered, fantastic frisco flight full of fantasy, and feeling
I was born here, grew up here and came back 15 years ago. My favorite part of the song is the "milk and honey days" slow part. That's really the feel of the place back in the day. I would love to hear that part made into a whole floating, drifty song on its own.
❤❤❤
